A full range of liquid photopolymer resins are available, from 25 to 90 shore A, and in various colours

The applications for Verbatim liquid photopolymer resins are varied and include:

  • Corrugated boxesLiquid Photopolymer Resins
  • Hand stamps
  • Paper bags
  • Multi-wall bags
  • Folding cartons
  • Pre-printed linerboard
  • Fast-food bags and cups
  • Grocery bags
  • Tags & labels
  • Envelopes

In addition to the existing product range, Chemence has a dedicated Research and development department that strive to push the boundaries of liquid polymer and formulate new resins that meet the requirements of the high end flexographic printing market.  The newest formulations offer all the benefits of a liquid resin, whilst achieving many of the characteristics of a solid plate.

In addition to the liquid photopolymer resins, a full range of ancillary products is available, including washout solutions, anti-foam, post-exposure salts, basefilm & coverfilm.

Key Advantages of Verbatim Liquid Photoploymer Resins:

PROCESSING TIME – Verbatim liquid plates can be made is less than 45 minutes, which is considerably less than the time required to make a solid plate.

COST – Material costs for Liquid are significantly lower than solid plates.  This combined with the lower processing time means that the return on investment with liquid is better than the solid system, even if a high capital investment is involved for the plate-making machinery.

ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE – The unexposed liquid photopolymer from the non-image areas can be reclaimed and reused.  The small amount of residual polymer around the cured image areas is removed using water and soap, which is biodegradable and environmentally friendly. Please refer to the local municipal regulation for the discharge of waste material.

CAPPING TECHNOLOGY – Liquid photopolymer plates can be produced with an additional layer of resin on top, which has a higher durometer.  This is called Capping resin.  This results in better print quality as well as minimizing or eliminating fluting on lower quality corrugated board.

LOW STOCK HOLDING - Liquid resin allows the plate-maker to process varying plate thicknesses from one product reference.  When processing solid plates it is necessary to stock numerous types of plates for different gauges.
